The Park conjoins with City Hall, Central Park and High School / Middle School sites with some shared amenities. The parking lot lays between the play area and tennis courts and connects to the larger City Hall/Police Station parking lot. There is a lack of accessible parking directly adjacent to playground and tennis courts. There is also a lack of an accessible route to picnic tables. The walks around the play area connect south to 33rd Ave NE and east/west to the parking lot and bus loop. To access City Hall via walk/path from the play area, the route is to the street and around the tennis courts and pond. The other route is through the parking lots. There is also a lack of an accessible route from this park north to Central Park. A crosswalk is needed to connect between the play area and tennis courts. A better accessible trail connection along the parking lot would also create larger trail loops. Short Term o Accessible parking at Tennis Court with crosswalk to playground area o Provide accessible picnic tables and benches. 2. Long Term o Replace Play Structure o Provide an accessible sidewalk/trail connection to the Central Park and City Hall without having to travel out to sidewalks along 33rd Ave and Silver Lake Road.
