City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />September 27, 2022 <br />Page 4 <br />1 shall be deemed to be performing regular duties for each respective sending party for purposes of <br />2 workers compensation. <br />3 <br />4 Hennepin County Emergency Management (HCEM) has volunteered to serve as the <br />5 administrator coordinator for this agreement among local units of government. This agreement <br />6 will better position the City to coordinate and work with its partnering agencies through a <br />7 formalized agreement. <br />8 <br />9 Staff recommends approval of the Resolution 22-065 Authorizing the Mutual Aid Agreement <br />10 Between the City of St. Anthony Village Public Works and Other Agencies Within the State of <br />11 Minnesota. <br />12 <br />13 Councilmember Jenson asked if this is the first time we are doing this for public works and Mr. <br />14 Gumke stated it is the first time and puts the City in a better position to handle an emergency if <br />15 needed. <br />16 <br />17 Councilmember Webster stated she appreciates Mr. Gumke’s proactiveness in pursuing this <br />18 agreement. <br />19 <br />20 Mayor Stille stated an example is the fencing that would be available in a crisis situation and <br />21 manpower to construct the fencing. This is a springing framework and if the time comes it can be <br />22 utilized. <br />23 <br />24 Motion by Councilmember Webster, seconded by Councilmember Walker, to approve <br />25 Resolution 22-065 Authorizing the Mutual Aid Agreement Between the City of St. Anthony <br />26 Village Public Works and Other Agencies Within the State of Minnesota. <br />27 <br />28 Motion carried 5-0. <br />29 <br />30 VII.REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />31 <br />32 City Manager Yunker had no report. <br />33 <br />34 Councilmember Walker had no report. <br />35 <br />36 Councilmember Jenson stated on September 22, he attended the Northeast Youth and Family <br />37 Services Board of Directors Meeting. <br />38 <br />39 Councilmember Randle had no report. <br />40 <br />41 Councilmember Webster stated on September 15 she attended the Nine North Board Meeting. A <br />42 new Executive Director has been hired. <br />43 <br />44 Mayor Stille stated on September 12 he attended the Regional Council of Mayors Meeting. <br />45 Today he had a luncheon at Mississippi Watershed Management District with Board Members <br />46 and Staff.
