City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />July 12, 2022 <br />Page 3 <br />1 Motion by Councilmember Jenson, seconded by Councilmember Randle, to Approve Resolution <br />2 22-059 – Approving the Gambling License for the Northeast Minneapolis Lions Community <br />3 Foundation Located at 2720 Highway 88. <br />4 <br />5 Motion carried 4-0. <br />6 <br />B.7 Resolution 22-060 Approving the Off-Site Gambling License for the Minneapolis NE <br />8 Lions Club at 3503 Silver Lake Rd NE. <br />9 <br />10 City Manager Yunker reviewed the Minneapolis NE Lions Club is applying for an off-site <br />11 gambling license with the State of Minnesota. A requirement of the State permit application is <br />12 acknowledge by the local unit of government and allowance of the gambling to take place within <br />13 City limits. They are requesting the off-site gambling license for VillageFest located at 3503 <br />14 Silver Lake Rd NE. <br />15 <br />16 Motion by Councilmember Walker, seconded by Councilmember Randle, to Approve Resolution <br />17 22-060 – Approving the Off-Site Gambling License for the Minneapolis NE Lions Club at 3503 <br />18 Silver Lake Rd NE. <br />19 <br />20 Motion carried 4-0. <br />21 <br />C.22 Goals Update. <br />23 <br />24 City Manager Yunker provided an update on the 2022 Annual Goals for the last quarter. <br />25 <br />26 Councilmember Walker asked when the water tower project will be completed, and Mr. Yunker <br />27 stated by the first week of August. <br />28 <br />29 Councilmember Jenson stated he appreciates the way the goals report has been reformatted. <br />30 There were 56 goals and of those 40 have had some action. <br />31 <br />32 VII.REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />33 <br />34 Councilmember Jenson had no report. <br />35 <br />36 Councilmember Walker stated he attended the Interstate Development 28-unit apartment project <br />37 for a tour. Mayor Stille noted he and Councilmember Jenson also attended. This is a new concept <br />38 for construction in the area. <br />39 <br />40 Mayor Stille stated on June 29 he attended the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization <br />41 Executive Committee Meeting. On July 11, he attended the Regional Council of Mayors <br />42 Meeting. The topic of that meeting was Education. Today he attended the Mississippi Watershed <br />43 Management Organization Board Meeting. <br />44 <br />45 City Manager Yunker reminded about the cardboard recycling event on Saturday, July 16 9am – <br />46 1 p.m. at Public Works.
