Commissioners asked of dedicated trails could be established, and staff indicated that due to the <br />available right-of-way, they would need to be shared. Discussion from the group expressed the desire to <br />consider the Kiwanis Trail a recreational trail, and the City plan should be focused on transportation, <br />Safe Routes to School and regional connectivity. <br />Staff will revisit and provide further options for consideration. <br />Other Business: <br />Staff was asked if Hennepin County responded about the possibility of establishing a dog park on a <br />parcel adjacent to Hwy 88. The County may permit use of property but would consider approval through <br />their permitting process. Another possible location was discussed at Silverwood Park. Some present felt <br />that was a better location, while others preferred the Hwy 88 location.
