ANTHONY <br />2 PARKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL COMMISSION MEETING <br />3 MARCH 6, 2023 <br />4 7:00 p.m. <br />5 <br />I.6 CALL TO ORDER. <br />7 <br />8 Chairperson Bordeau called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />9 <br />II.10 ROLL CALL. <br />11 <br />12 Commissioners Present:Chair Bordeau, Commissioners Doolan, Fee and Holliday <br />13 <br />14 Absent: Commissioner Guest. <br />15 <br />16 Also Present: Citizens for Sustainability Mr. Dan Kunitz, Public Works <br />17 Superintendent Zach Lundberg, and City Manager Charlie Yunker. <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 III.APPROVAL OF THE MARCH 6, 2023 PARKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL <br />21 COMMISSION MEETING AGENDA. <br />22 <br />23 Motion by Commissioner Holliday, seconded by Doolan, to approve the March 6, 2003 Parks <br />24 and Environmental Commission agenda. <br />25 <br />26 Motion carried unanimously. <br />27 <br />28 IV.APPROVAL OF THE DECEMBER 5, 2022 REGULAR PARKS AND <br />29 ENVIRONMENTAL COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES. <br />30 <br />31 Motion by Commissioner Doolan, seconded by Commissioner Holliday, to approve the <br />32 December 5, 2022 Regular Parks and Environmental Commission Meeting Minutes as <br />33 presented. <br />34 <br />35 Motion carried unanimously. <br />36 <br />37 V.PRESENTATIONS. <br />38 <br />A.39 Citizens for Sustainability Updates. <br />40 <br />41 Mr. Dan Kunitz updated the Parks & Environmental Commission with the Citizens for <br />42 Sustainability activities. The agenda included Plastic Waste Challenge, Earth Week <br />43 Activities, April Book Discussion, No Mow May and Upcoming Events. <br />44 <br />45 The February outcomes of the Hennepin County Plastic Free Challenge were shared. Earth <br />46 Week Activities include April 15-22 Neighborhood Clean Up; April 18-21 Earth Week <br />47 Challenge in Schools; and April 22, 2023 Park Clean Up Day from 10am – 12noon. If any <br />48 Commissioners are interested in participating let Dan Kunitz know. <br />49
