And Does the Commission have any particularly high priorities for staff and <br />2 the City Council to consider? <br />3 <br />4 Staff will utilize the Commission’s feedback to refine the 2024 CIP that will go to the City <br />5 Council for approval later in 2023. Staff will bring the draft 2024 CIP to the September 2 023 <br />6 PEC meeting for the Commission to review. <br />7 <br />8 Commissioner Holliday noted the slide at Central Park is out of commission. Mr. Lundberg <br />9 stated the parts have arrived and will be installed when weather permits. Commissioner <br />10 Doolan asked about the concrete repairs. <br />11 <br />12 Mr. Yunker stated Silver Point would be the highest priority. Staff is looking for general <br />13 direction from the Commission. <br />14 <br />15 Commissioner Doolan asked if there is any information on usage at the parks. Mr. Lundberg <br />16 stated hockey is the only activity there is data on for rink use. There is no data on the usage of <br />17 the playgrounds. <br />18 <br />19 Chair Bordeau stated accessibility would be a high priority and would affect all the parks. <br />20 Commissioner Holliday stated that would include concrete repairs. Commissioner Doolan <br />21 asked about the playground equipment and whether it has been selected. Mr. Lundberg stated <br />22 the bid was for replacement of the old equipment. Mr. Yunker stated a swing set would be <br />23 added. All would be ADA compliant. A rubber mat would be used there and would help with <br />24 ADA compliance. <br />25 <br />26 Commissioner Holliday thought the Emerald Park items are a high priority. Commissioner <br />27 Doolan asked about accessible parking. <br />28 <br />29 Mr. Yunker summarized the priorities are accessibility system-wide and concrete repair. <br />30 Playgrounds and smaller items would follow. Mr. Lundberg stated for Salo Pond more <br />31 concrete work will be done according to the maintenance agreement. Commissioner Doolan <br />32 referred to the WSB report comparing it to the list provided this evening. Mr. Yunker asked <br />33 about the hockey boards permanent vs. mobile. Mr. Lundberg stated the hockey rink could be <br />34 used for other activities. The temporary boards are being used at Emerald and Silver Point. <br />35 Grass does not grow under where the hockey rinks are. <br />36 <br />37 Mr. Yunker asked about the tennis courts at the wellhouse and what should that future use be? <br />38 Commissioner Fee stated the tennis courts are used for pickleball and tennis and she would <br />39 hate to see that use be removed. Something should be done as it could become a safety issue. <br />40 The consensus was to redo the tennis court and line for pickle ball also. Commissioner <br />41 Holliday stated he would not be in favor of putting any further resources for the tennis courts. <br />42 <br />43 VIII.COMMUNITY FORUM. <br />44 <br />45 No one appeared to address the Commission. <br />46
