I also believe it is important that we steward well our world <br />and the environment we live in. However, I struggle to see a connection between most of the topics <br />listed and climate change. <br />The fear of existential calamity far outweighs both reality and cost /benefit . <br />Climate activists proposing/implementing solutions that are not effective, feasible, proven or of any <br />value. STA is three square miles, only plan should be is to ensure city operations are not using truly <br />harmful chemicals or processes. <br />Wow, you attach a lot of important community issues to climate. I would say that the problems <br />related to most of these issues have nothing to do with climate. Let's tackle them without the trendy <br />ideology, please! <br />Use of toxic pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers and de -icer products Affordable housing. As a <br />single parent/single income housing is not affordable. <br />There is no Climate Crisis. The climate has always changed and always will. <br />Climate change deniers <br />Can’t have too much <br />Need to plant more trees. Study a er study shows the most effective way to mitigate effects of <br />climate change is to plant trees. <br />Wood burning is a real problem for our community- both fire pit , wood burners for heat and <br />fireplaces. Wood smoke is so unhealthy and has impacted family members. <br />Stop residential wood burning, specifically back yard, stove and fireplace wood burning, It is the <br />leading cause of 2.5 particulates in Minnesota. Also important to <br />note is the elderly and asthma sufferers, it is important we monitor our extreme high weather <br />temperatures. Huge issue is lack of rain with the continued draught from last summer. Need to <br />monitor. <br />Social unrest due to accumulating crises, including false information spread via AI in social media <br />and radical right-wing media (and possibly radical le -wing media). <br />High greenhouse gases <br />Composting/recycling? <br />pollinator survival <br />Lack of access to safe, sustainable transit options (biking, walking, buses) <br />Though most of these are important , requiring regular efforts to maintain and improve them, they <br />should not incur any extraordinary financial expenditures that would mistakenly tie them to man-
