A city’s climate footprint comes primarily from its residents and businesses.
Generally, a small percent of a city’s emissions results from city operations.
What might you want to do as a resident or business to reduce emissions
and improve climate health?
without impacting my quality of life - very little.
St Anthony probably accounts for less than .000000000001 percent of climate change
Participate in all of the conservation practices we can such as reducing our energy consumption,
recycling, etc.
There is not much I can do. As a retired person, I don't drive as much as I used to and have a
relatively low carbon footprint .
Energy source, more solar, less water use
Use public transport (bus 25 has reduced hours), plant native plants.
I already quit driving and our apartment complex does recycle.
We have been working to make our house more energy efficient (installed a heat pump, plan to
replace our water heater with tankless, plan to insulate the attic, etc.). Financial support for these
types of projects would help a lot .
I drive as little as possible, use as little water, heat and AC as I can and don’t use chemicals on my
lawn. I’ve transitioned to chemical free cleaning products.
Evaluate our HVAC efficiency
recycle, drive less, consume less (clothing, appliances, furniture, paint)
Curbside composting
Install solar. Recycle and compost .
See above
Start by offering information sessions regarding options available.
Combine errands into one trip to reduce use of cars. Use reasonable, not extreme, settings on
temperature settings in home. Be cognizant if conserving water.
I’m open to all ideas. Walking more, park projects, etc…
Assist homeowners in creating natural landscaping that reduces need for mowing and watering
Continue use of sustainable/compostable materials; decrease use of fossil fuels, green lawn and
garden practices
Install solar, reduce traditional lawn turf and replace with plantings that require less water
I don't think the climate is an issue.
Nothing. As a conservative (political and otherwise) person I already generally do what I can to
"conserve" resources and assets available to me. I try to minimize trips in my car (to save
gas/money, not "the environment"), I only water the lawn and wash my car as needed to not be
wasteful, I maintain, fix, and repair my cars and lawn equipment so they will have a long useful life
and not need to be thrown away before their useful life is up, etc.
Switch vehicles and energy usage to electric, reduce waste, compost , and walk more places
educate and support sustainable plantings and practices. (Not too interested in changing house
numbers to comply with newer style.)
Install solar tile roof
install solar on own house
Nothing I already dont do
Conservation, not abolition, and wise use of all our minerals and fossil fuels.
I would want to know about what tools are available as a resident , to implement at home.
End sending surveys like this - waste of energy.
