Hen in Upgrade my home look for efficient appliances/ heating system, recycle/compost as much as <br />possible, <br />Reduce short trips, conserve water and recapture rainwater <br />reduce the amount of time cars spend idling at red lights. <br />If we had public transport bus service, train service for out area that would be great . I live in New <br />Brighton and work in Brooklyn Park. <br />Walk lots. Online shopping to reduce trips. <br />nothing <br />Solar panels, heat pump heating/cooling, gray water systems, urban gardening prioritizing food, <br />increased pedestrian prioritized or pedestrian only thoroughfares, <br />I would love if the city was better at providing info and resources for us to make changes to our <br />homes. I wanted solar and didn’t know who to call, ended up with one of the groups accused by the <br />AG of being a scammer. So- a person or resource guide on contractors, what to do to get the biggest <br />bang for our buck, and help finding out about financial incentives. Maybe incentives like property tax <br />freezes or something for those making big improvements. Publicly available charging stations for <br />EVs. Curbside compost . <br />Energy efficient appliances, plant shade trees to reduce need for AC, consume less meat , drive and <br />fly less, purchase electric vehicle <br />Recycle, compost , don’t spray chemicals…. <br />Efficient cars, sources of electricity, etc. <br />Buy a hybrid car <br />Créate a drought-resistant yard, recycling, walk to school more oen. <br />Install solar panels when it makes sense from a financial perspective. <br />Support & help fund projects like solar, curbside composting, geothermal <br />Make my home more energy efficient . Bike more places. Adopt more low-waste practices. <br />We plan to buy an electric vehicle (we’re a one car family) in the next 3-5 years. We also want to put <br />solar panels on our roof. We do not use chemicals on our lawn and plant only bee/pollinator friendly <br />plants. <br />I would like to do many of the things I mentioned in #7. <br />Invest in solar, compost , reduce emissions by biking or walking (with safe routes with the city, <br />educate others and our youth about the impact they can have <br />We're transistioning to electric yard care equipment . Plan to purchase EV in next 5 yrs. Making an <br />effort to bike to work/school occasionally. Practicing "green" lawn care. Plan to plant 2-3 trees on our <br />property. Investing in electric and efficient appliances. <br />Unsure <br />Mandatory recycling. limits on water use via higher fees, grants to replace high energy use <br />appliances like A/C <br />Drive a gas powered car less. Do not do single errands but a group. Keep your house cooler in the <br />winter and warmer in the summer to reduce energy needs <br />I will continue to unplug my unused electrical items. I will continue to compost and recycle. I will also <br />try to bike and walk more. <br />Unknown, I defer to climate experts for what local municipalities and individuals can do to make an <br />impact . <br />We are on-board with any measures that make our community cleaner and better prepared for <br />climate change. We are a one -car household and we plan to buy an electric vehicle in the next 5 <br />years. All of our lawn equipment is electric.
