ANTHONY <br />2 PARKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL COMMISSION MEETING <br />3 September 18, 2023 <br />4 7:00 p.m. <br />5 <br />I.6 CALL TO ORDER. <br />7 <br />8 Vice Chair Guest called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />9 <br />II.10 ROLL CALL. <br />11 <br />12 Commissioners Present:Vice Chair Guest, Commissioners Doolan, Fee, and Holliday. <br />13 <br />14 Absent: Chair Bordeau. <br />15 <br />16 Also Present: City Manager Gumke, Public Works Director Jeremy Gumke, and <br />17 Student Liaison Addie Aman. <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 III.APPROVAL OF THE SEPTEMBER 18, 2023 PARKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL <br />21 COMMISSION MEETING AGENDA. <br />22 <br />23 Commissioner Doolan questioned an item on the Long Term CIP for a park on Line 43. Mr. <br />24 Yunker stated that was a comment from the parks tour. <br />25 <br />26 Motion by Commissioner Doolan, seconded by Commissioner Fee, to approve the September <br />27 18, 2023 Parks and Environmental Commission agenda. <br />28 <br />29 Motion carried unanimously. <br />30 <br />31 <br />32 IV.APPROVAL OF THE JUNE 5, 2023 REGULAR PARKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL <br />33 COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES. <br />34 <br />35 Motion by Commissioner Doolan, seconded by Commissioner Holliday, to approve the June <br />36 5, 2023 Regular Parks and Environmental Commission Meeting Minutes as presented. <br />37 <br />38 Motion carried unanimously. <br />39 <br />40 V.PRESENTATIONS. <br />41 <br />A.42 Youth Climate Update. <br />43 <br />44 Commissioner Lona Doolan introduced the students in the 8th grade class that helped develop <br />45 the Youth Climate Action Plan during sessions on August 9, 16, 23 and 30, 2023. They are <br />46 Willow Sadler (7th grade) and Bernie Picturna (8th grade). They reviewed a PowerPoint <br />47 presentation on the Youth Climate Action Plan. Originally three meetings were planned but a <br />48 fourth was added to continue work on the presentation. The schedule for August was Climate <br />49 Change & Emissions, Renewable Energy, Choices & Actions and Moving Forward. Included
