For Silver Point Park the proposal is <br />10 for Parking Lot Mill and Overlay, Reclaim and Pave Trail, Replaced Cracked Concrete Panels <br />I 1 and Remove the Replace Basketball Court. <br />12 <br />13 The Engineer's estimate was $2,327,405. Eleven bids were received between $2,024,956.77 and <br />14 $2,448.309.10. The Low bid was received from North Valley Inc. for $2,024,956.77. <br />15 <br />16 Ms. Koscielak reviewed the Project Costs/Funding Breakdown and Project Schedule. A chart <br />17 showing the funding summary was provided showing assessments of $701,900.00; city cost <br />18 $1,660,000.00 and total of $2,361,900.00. Construction should begin June 2024 with substantial <br />19 completion in September 2024. <br />20 <br />21 Residents can sign up to receive mail and/or text message project status updates by visiting the <br />22 project webpage located under Government then Projects on the City's website at <br />23 httns://savmn.com. <br />24 <br />25 Councilmember Jenson asked about the contractor and their quality of work, reliability, reason <br />26 for selection, etc. Ms. Koscielak stated she has worked with them in the past with good <br />27 experience and great working relationship. The State of Minnesota requires Cities to go with the <br />28 lowest bidder. City Engineer Justin Messner stated WSB is very familiar with this contractor and <br />29 they have not worked in St. Anthony before. <br />30 <br />31 Mayor Webster thanked Ms. Koscielak for her presentation. <br />32 <br />33 a. Resolution 24-025 Calling a Hearing for the 2024 Street Improvement Project. <br />34 <br />35 Ms. Koscielak stated this resolution sets a public hearing to be held on April 23, 2024 at 7:00 <br />36 p.m. On February 1, 2024, bids for the 2024 Street Improvement Project were opened. The low <br />37 bid received for the project was $2,024,956.77. The total cost of the improvement as presented to <br />38 Council in the feasibility study was $2,428,700. The revised estimated total cost of the <br />39 improvements is $2,361,900. The revised costs include approximately $60,500 for concrete walk <br />40 replacements in Salo Park and approximately $174,600 for parking lot, sidewalk, and trail <br />41 improvements within Silver Point Park not originally identified during the feasibility study. <br />42 <br />43 <br />44 Motion by Councilmember Stephens, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, for approval of <br />45 Resolution 24-025 — Calling a Hearing for the 2024 Street Improvement Project. <br />46 <br />
