The applicant's proposal provides an important service to the community at large and <br />4 justifies the departure from the original PUD goals. <br />5 <br />6 Following the August 20 Planning Commission meeting, the applicants met with Staff to discuss <br />7 the conditions. Staff indicated that the supplemental information requested by the Commission <br />8 should be submitted at least one week prior to the Council meeting at which the item would be <br />9 considered. The applicant sought a deferral to the September 24th meeting for time to complete <br />10 the additional information. <br />11 <br />12 The supplemental materials submitted by the applicants for the PUD Amendment were provided. <br />13 The materials are intended to be in response to additional analysis and data requested by the <br />14 Planning Commission as part of the Commission's recommendation of approval of the PUD <br />15 Amendment. Because of the timing of the submission, staff has had limited opportunity to <br />16 review and report on the content of the newly submitted materials prior to the preparation of staff <br />17 reports for the meeting agenda. <br />18 <br />19 The supplemental materials are intended to address the following: <br />20 1. Provide information on staffing during religious services in the multi -purpose room, and <br />21 scale the capacity of the assembly to match the remaining available parking on the site, at <br />22 the rate of 2.5 persons per parking space. <br />23 - Anticipated volumes provided for programs would not exceed total parking available <br />24 on site. Volumes do not reflect future plans related to business space rental. <br />25 2. Provide an interior floor plan schematic that shows the planned multi -purpose space, and <br />26 how assembly capacity will be controlled to meet the maximum imposed by the parking <br />27 supply. <br />28 - Interior floor plan provided for the first floor. <br />29 3. Close the westerly of the two access driveways to Kenzie Terrace, and add green space <br />30 and landscaping to replace the driveway removal. <br />31 - Updated site plan was included and shows the closure of the westerly driveway to <br />32 Kenzie Terrace. Green space and landscaping not confirmed. <br />33 4. Provide a more detailed landscaping plan that identifies the proposed planting materials <br />34 in the illustrated green spaces on the site, as well as the existing green spaces at the <br />35 perimeter of the site, including a maintenance plan for improving those overgrown areas. <br />36 - Proposed landscaping shown on previous site plan. The applicants asked that this <br />37 condition be waived due to considerations over cost. Applicants stated that <br />38 landscaping would be a future phase ofproject. Landscaping has been removed from <br />39 site plan. <br />40 5. Provide information on the outdoor play area, including surfacing, amenities or structures <br />41 in the play area, and method of separation from the adjacent driveway (fencing, etc.). <br />42 - Proposed outdoor play area shown on previous site plan. The applicants asked that <br />43 this condition be waived due to considerations over cost. Applicants stated that the <br />44 outdoor play area would be a future phase of project. Outdoor play area was removed <br />45 from site plan. <br />
