Contract Agreement for Police Services <br />Page 2 <br />III.TERM , TERMINATION , BREACH . <br />A.TERM.The services to be performed under this Agreement will commence March 1,2025,and <br />shall continue through December 31,2030 (“Term”),or until terminated pursuant to the provisions <br />of this Agreement. <br />B.TERMINATION .Either Party may terminate this Agreement for any reason or no reason by written <br />notice of its intention not to renew mailed to an authorized representative of the non-terminating <br />Party no later than two (2)years prior to the expiration of the Term.Upon the expiration or <br />termination of this Agreement,Falcon Heights shall only be responsible to pay for the Policing <br />Services rendered prior to the effective date of termination. <br />C.BREACH.Either Party may terminate this Agreement in the event of a material breach of this <br />Agreement by either Party,or any officer,employee,agent or authorized representative as follows: <br />The non-breaching Party shall give the breaching Party a written notice specifying the alleged <br />breach and ninety (90)days to cure the breach.If such breach (if curable)is not cured within such <br />time,the non-breaching Party may terminate the Agreement effective within thirty (30)days upon <br />written notice of termination. <br />IV.SERVICES . <br />St.Anthony,by and through its police department (“SAVPD”)will provide Falcon Heights with policing <br />services as described herein.Such policing services shall be of a caliber identical to those currently <br />provided to persons and property within St. Anthony. <br />Falcon Heights agrees that the Principles and Practices of St.Anthony will prevail as the enforcement <br />policies within Falcon Heights.A written statement of the current Principles and Practices of St.Anthony <br />shall be provided to Falcon Heights prior to the effective date of this Agreement <br />Notwithstanding the foregoing and subject to the conditions set forth in Appendix A,such policing services <br />can include but are not limited to the following: <br />A.Patrol services, with random patrolling of all residential, business and public property <br />areas during all shifts <br />B.Police presence within the boundaries of Falcon Heights 24 hours each day <br />C.Animal control services by the animal control service employed by St. Anthony <br />D. Dispatching services are to be paid directly by the municipality served by Ramsey County <br />Dispatch <br />E.Enforcement of Minnesota State statutes and all ordinances of Falcon Heights which are <br />intended to be enforced by police officers, with special attention being given to parking, <br />winter and nuisance ordinances, but excluding ordinances which are primarily regulatory <br />in nature such as zoning ordinances and building codes <br />F.Ticketing for traffic violations <br />G.Crime prevention programs that encourage community involvement and investment in the <br />City of Falcon Heights; in appropriate cases, referrals will be made to the Northwest
