November 12, 2024 St. Anthony Council Work Session - 4 <br />Councilmember Doolan stated a developer has a way to recoup their expense for adding EV. She wants <br />to make sure Council is going in a direction to support residents. Councilmember Jenson stated we need <br />to start planning for it. It is good to have something on the books that will address EV. <br />Councilmember Randle stated he has a problem with “requiring”. <br />Councilmember Jenson stated a developer is not going to put in anything that is not required. <br />Councilmember Randle agreed. <br />Mayor Webster stated she would support number 3 as well. She likes that it depends on the number of <br />parking spaces in the parking lot. We are looking at mid-size multi-family projects where there could be <br />some requirements. Three of the Councilmembers are in favor of option 3. Mr. Grittman stated this can <br />come up before the Planning Commission for consideration and recommendation. <br />Councilmember Jenson asked if this will apply to the GreenStep program. Mr. Yunker stated it would <br />apply to the GoldLeaf program. <br />Councilmember Doolan stated this helps us meet our Climate Action Goals. Mr. Yunker stated this was <br />one of the items to be discussed. She asked if there is anything in the Comprehensive Plan and Mr. <br />Grittman stated the Comprehensive Plan is vague on this. <br />Mr. Yunker summarized Option 3 is the consensus of the Council. Mr. Grittman stated most projects <br />coming forward will be Planned Unit Developments. <br />Councilmember Doolan stated the MPCA has a grant that is available for assistance with EV charging <br />stations. <br />Future Work Sessions: <br />The next Work Session will be held on November 18 in the Council Chambers. <br />December 16, 2024 <br />Future Agenda Items: <br />Start discussing topics for Goal Setting. <br />Further utilization of the Parks and Environmental Commission on the Climate Action Plan. <br />Liaisons to the Planning and Parks and Environmental Commissions. <br />Adjournment: <br />The meeting adjourned at 6:25 p.m. <br />8
