REPORTS FROM COMMISSION AND STAFF. 5 <br /> 6 <br />A. 2025 Planning Commission Work Plan 7 <br /> 8 <br /> City Manager Yunker reviewed the Planning Commission Work Plan. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Motion by Councilmember Elnagdy, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve the 2025 11 <br />Planning Commission Work Plan as presented. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Motion carried 4-0. 14 <br /> 15 <br />B. 2025 Parks & Environmental Commission Work Plan 16 <br /> 17 <br /> City Manager Yunker reviewed the Parks & Environmental Commission Work Plan. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Motion by Councilmember Doolan, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve the 2025 20 <br />Parks & Environmental Commission Work Plan as presented. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Motion carried 4-0. 23 <br /> 24 <br />IX. GENERAL BUSINESS OF COUNCIL. 25 <br /> 26 <br />A. 2025 Strategic Plan 27 <br /> 28 <br />City Manager Yunker reviewed a PowerPoint of the 2025 Strategic Plan. A photograph of the 29 <br />Team consisting of the City Council, Commission Representatives, City Staff, City Consultants 30 <br />and Guests was shown from the January 2025 Goal Setting Sessions. Mr. Yunker reviewed: 31 <br /> 32 <br />The Process: 33 <br />• Goal setting is a year-round process. 34 <br />• Community input is gathered from Council meetings, community events (VillageFest, 35 <br />Night to Unite, etc.) and personal interactions. 36 <br />• Department heads work with their staff to identify On the Radar items. 37 <br />• Guests provide regional perspectives. 38 <br /> 39 <br />The Framework for the Strategic Plan includes: 40 <br />• Vision: Identifies our ideal outcome for the City and sets the framework for the rest of the 41 <br />Pyramid. All subsequent strategic planning efforts directly relate to the City’s Vision. 42 <br />• Mission: Describes what we do and for whom. For our City, providing high quality 43 <br />services is essential to supporting a high quality of life for all residents. 44 <br />• Core Values: Guide how staff should work for and with the community. These values are 45 <br />imperative for all staff to demonstrate. 46 <br />11
