Fox Grants: Your Ideal Grant Writing Partner
Proposal for St Anthony Village

Challenges

St. Anthony Village is at a pivotal moment as it seeks to secure funding for a new public safety
facility that will house both its police and fire departments. As a regional service provider, the
city plays a critical role in ensuring public safety not only for its residents but also for
surrounding communities. However, the current facilities are outdated and no longer meet the
operational needs of modern emergency response teams. Upgrading to a modern,
well-equipped facility is essential to maintaining high-quality public safety services.
Securing the estimated $15 million required for construction presents a significant financial
challenge. With a small population of just 9,200 residents and a substantial existing debt load
from a previous street improvement project, traditional debt financing is unlikely to be a viable
solution. This financial constraint necessitates pursuing alternative funding strategies,
including federal, state, and private grant opportunities, to help offset costs and minimize the
financial burden on taxpayers.
To address this challenge, St. Anthony Village has engaged with Fox Grants to explore public
funding options and grant opportunities. Identifying and successfully securing competitive
grants requires a well-researched, strategic approach to align city needs with available
funding sources. A comprehensive funding strategy will be essential to navigating the
complexities of public grants, ensuring that the city maximizes available resources while
maintaining its commitment to fiscal responsibility.

2
29
