Solutions
Overview

To help St. Anthony Village secure funding for its new public safety facility, Fox Grants
recommends a multi-faceted approach that leverages public funding opportunities, strategic
partnerships, and a well-structured grants strategy. Given the city’s financial constraints, our focus
will be on identifying and securing non-dilutive funding sources that align with the project’s public
safety mission while minimizing the impact on taxpayers.
1. Identify and Prioritize Public Grant Opportunities (for example):
a. FEMA’s Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) Program for fire department
infrastructure and equipment.
b. U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) COPS Office Grants for police facility
improvements.
c. State-level public safety and infrastructure grants that support municipal
emergency services.
d. Bonding bill allocations through state legislative advocacy.
e. FEMA and potential disaster relief funding.
f. Incentives for Energy Efficiency Enhancement and Improvements that promote
energy efficiency and reduce overall energy consumption, which directly contributes
to a smaller carbon footprint.
By prioritizing grants with the highest likelihood of success, we will develop a targeted funding
roadmap that maximizes available resources.
2. Develop a Strategic Grant Application Plan
Applying for competitive public funding requires a structured approach. Fox Grants will work with
St. Anthony Village to:
a. Craft compelling grant narratives that clearly demonstrate the regional impact
and necessity of the new facility.
b. Ensure compliance with funding requirements, including environmental,
operational, and financial reporting criteria.
c. Coordinate application timelines to align with grant cycles and ensure timely
submissions.
3
30
