<br />Saint Anthony Village Energy Action Plan 47 <br />Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Trends <br />Saint Anthony Village’s overall energy-related greenhouse gas emissions remained steady from 2021– <br />2023. However, a disaggregation by fuel type shows electricity emissions decreased by 10.2% while <br />natural gas emissions increased by 7.3% during this time. To calculate Saint Anthony Village’s energy- <br />related emissions, an emissions factor is used. This emissions factor describes the amount of CO2 <br />emitted per unit of energy (Table 14). Specifically, the certified emissions factors from Xcel Energy’s <br />Upper Midwest Fuel Mix and a standard emissions factor for natural gas emissions were used. As Xcel <br />Energy completes third-party verification, the emissions factors used during the planning process to <br />estimate greenhouse gas emissions may change slightly. <br />Table 13.
