June 24, 2025 Saint Anthony Council Work Session - 4
City Manager Yunker referred to the pyramid item for a City Infrastructure Plan. These include major
park work and buildings in the future. This includes when equipment in parks needs to be replaced. This
presentation is an introduction to help facilitate a future conversation when the CIP is reviewed in the
Fall.
Councilmember Doolan noted that this is a good strategy to have it all in one discussion and bring it all
together.
Councilmember Elnagdy thanked the Staff for providing this helpful visual.
Councilmember Randle agreed that this is laid out well. The overall health of the buildings should be the
priority. The luxuries could be considered after. Ms. Morello stated the PEC has expressed interest in
exploring some of the park amenities, and a balance needs to be considered for all infrastructure needs.
Mr. Yunker stated there is a tennis court that needs to be repaired or decommissioned, which would be
a possibility for a pickleball court. At Central Park, lighting is also being requested, and there would be
ROI. This is an ageing infrastructure and is a want and a need.
Councilmember Elnagdy asked where the $200K is coming from, and Mr. Yunker stated it came from
WSB as a general number for a dog park.
Mayor Pro Tem Jenson added that with this information, a spreadsheet is created with needs and
estimated costs, and in the other column are the wants with the estimated costs. This helps the Council
prioritize.
Mayor Webster stated she appreciates the overview, and this helps the Council shift its perspective
thinking about infrastructure more broadly. She noted how we look at funding when the needs of our
residents change. We want young families to continue to move to St. Anthony.
Councilmember Doolan stated it is important to see it all laid out together. If something came up that
needed to be taken care of, we can make better decisions to meet that need.
Future Agenda Items:
The next Work Session Meeting will be held on July 8, 2025.
Adjournment:
Motion by Councilmember Doolan, seconded by Councilmember Elnagdy, to adjourn the meeting.
Motion carried 5-0.
The meeting adjourned at 6:15 p.m.
