Mayor Webster explained that affordable <br />housing has been an interest and goal of the City Council and one of the approaches to begin to address <br />the topic is establishing regulation to prohibit corporate ownership of single-family homes. Ms. Morello <br />noted that the City Council and Planning Commission have discussed this topic a number of times <br />throughout the past couple of years, and considering ways to preserve naturally occurring affordable <br />housing (NOAH) has been consistently one of the city’s goals. Mr. Yunker explained that given the <br />observations from Council and Commissioners and the acknowledgement of the complexity of <br />affordable housing, it may be valuable to consider a multi-phased approached, with actions in the short, <br />mid and long term. <br />Mayor Webster opened the floor for discussion on short term rentals. Mayor Webster explained <br />that the Council was currently favoring prohibiting short-term rentals of SF homes as they limit long- <br />term options for residents and potential residents. Mr. Grittman explained to the group that per city <br />3
