Gold Leaf award <br />presented at the June 24th City Council meeting. <br />Sustainability Coordinator featured on panel during the <br />League of Minnesota Cities Annual Conference on June <br />26th to share highlights of Gold Leaf/GreenStep work. <br />Thriving Village <br />AFFORDABLE HOUSING <br />•Consider an Affordable Housing Policy <br />for new high density projects <br />•Advocate for residents facing rent <br />pressure <br />•Identify partner to best fulfill Council <br />priorities for city owned parcel <br />Sample policy language included in the February 25th City <br />Council Work Session for discussion at a future meeting. <br />City Council members have continued to connect <br />residents facing rent pressure with State and Federal <br />level resources for assistance and advocacy. <br />City-owned parcel under consideration to serve as city’s <br />municipal Cannabis store. <br />PEDESTRIAN & BIKE-FRIENDLY ROUTES <br />•Draft Active Transportation Plan <br />•Grand Rounds Missing Link engagement <br />City was awarded Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation Active Transportation Program planning <br />grant, and efforts are continuing. <br />Fall 2025, City hosted a number of workshops and <br />engagement events to understand existing conditions for <br />walking and biking <br />City hosted an open house in Feb on Minneapolis Park <br />Board’s (MPRB) Grand Rounds Missing Link concept for <br />85
