online forms, embedded PDF documents to text form and <br />adding Alt Text to all images. <br />SENIORS & YOUTH <br />•Support partners in engagement and <br />programming <br />Mayor hosting Mayor’s Youth Council sessions. <br />Students asked to participate in selecting the water <br />conservation poster contest winners <br />Seniors & youth are specific audiences identified for <br />Active Transportation Plan listening session locations. <br />Safe & Secure Community <br />PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITIES NEEDS <br />Explore feasibility of a Public Safety <br />Facility to meet Police and Fire long term <br />needs <br />City Manager, Police Chief and Fire Chief working with <br />Oertel Architects to finalize a facility concept. <br />City working with Fox Advancement to pursue Federal <br />and State funding. <br />Requests have been submitted at the Federal and State <br />levels to evaluate potential financial support. <br />Mayor and staff met with Representative Ohmar’s staff to <br />discuss status and option for another funding source to <br />seek in the Spring of 2026. <br />MUNICIPAL LIQUOR AND CANNABIS <br />Continue efforts to open a city- <br />operated dispensary <br />Draft vision for the future of the <br />existing liquor stores <br />City submitted its application for a cannabis retailer’s <br />license on March 13th and currently waiting on approval. <br />City staff presented vision for a Cannabis retail store and <br />refresh and rebranding of the liquor stores at the June <br />24th City Council meeting. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />Explore expansion of Advanced Life <br />Support capabilities <br />Fire Department is continuing work on adding more <br />medications to the enhance care capabilities. <br />Additional heart monitor added in October 2026. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />•Continue Falcon Heights integration Coffee with a Cop at Hendrickson on February 25th <br />Coffee with a Cop at Amber Union on March 12th <br />Coffee with Cop at Falcon Heights Town Square on <br />March 27th <br />March Patrol Coverage averaged 16 hours per day. April <br />averaged 18 hours per day. <br />Conducted 109 community engagement contacts while <br />on patrol from April through June, and 46 contacts while <br />on patrol July through August. <br />Officer attended block parties on Minnesota Night to <br />Unite and back to school evens at Falcon Heights <br />87
