Cities can continue to support by leading engineering <br />efforts by prioritizing active transportation investments along key <br />routes to school. <br />Related to education, in 2023 state legislation was passed that <br />requires all public-school students receive instruction in safe <br />walking and bicycling skills at the beginning of the school year. <br />Resource: Walk and Bike Safety Education for K-8 Students, <br />MnDOT <br />Work with school <br />partners to apply for <br />MnDOT planning, <br />boost or infrastructure <br />grants to enact this <br />Action Plan and a SRTS <br />Plan.
