MEMORANDUM <br />To:Saint Anthony Village City Council <br />From:Charlie Yunker, City Manager <br />Date:March 24, 2026 <br />Request: Student Development Presentations <br />BACKGROUND <br />For the second year in a row, the City has invited students from the <br />Saint Anthony Middle School to present their capstone project. <br />Language Arts teacher Maya Kruger has created a project for their <br />students to propose a development project at a vacant or <br />undeveloped lot in the City. Last year, students provided a variety of <br />creative proposal ideas for 3803 Stinson Blvd. <br />This year, the students were asked to come up with proposals for a <br />vacant lot in the Silver Lake Village area off of Silver Lake Road. The <br />lot address is 3800 Silver Lake Road NE, the southern portion of the <br />site is a bank, and the northern portion of the lot is currently vacant. <br />As part of the project, the City has invited students to present their <br />projects as an opportunity to share their hard work with City Council <br />Members at a City meeting. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />No recommendation or action requested.
