CITY OF SAINT ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />RESOLUTION 26-038 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 2026-2028 <br />RESIDENTIAL WASTE REDUCTION AND RECYCLING GRANT AGREEMENT <br />WITH HENNEPIN COUNTY <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 115A.552, counties shall ensure that <br />residents have an opportunity to recycle; and <br />WHEREAS, Hennepin County Ordinance 13 requires that each city implement and maintain a <br />recycling and organics recycling program; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Board at its November 6, 2025 meeting adopted a funding <br />policy to continue to fund cities within Hennepin County for the contract period <br />of January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2028; and <br />WHEREAS, in order to receive grant funds, the City must sign and participate in the <br />agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to receive these grant funds each year. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of City of Saint Anthony <br />Village, Minnesota authorizes staff to participate in the Residential Waste Reduction and <br />Recycling Grant program as outlined in the agreement with Hennepin County. <br />Approved this 12th day of May, 2026. <br />_________________________________________ <br /> Wendy Webster, Mayor <br />ATTEST:___________________________ <br /> Nicole DeDeyn, City Clerk <br />Review for Administration: _________________________________________ <br /> Charlie Yunker, City Manager
