MEMORANDUM <br />To:Saint Anthony Village City Council <br />From:Charlie Yunker, City Manager <br />Date:April 28, 2026 <br />Request: Resolution 26-033 – Declaring Items Surplus and Authorizing Sale and/or <br />Disposal <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City’s municipal liquor operations are undergoing rebranding and remodeling of existing liquor store <br />locations as part of a broader initiative that includes cannabis retail. As part of this process, staff has <br />identified a number of items that are no longer needed or suitable for ongoing operations. <br />Rather than retain or store unneeded items, staff recommends declaring these items as surplus property <br />and proposes the items be sold through public auction, with any remaining items disposed of in <br />accordance with City policy and applicable law. <br />Proceeds from the sale of surplus items will be deposited into the liquor store fund and used to offset <br />costs associated with the ongoing renovation and remodeling efforts. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends approval of the resolution declaring certain property as surplus and authorizing its <br />sale and/or disposal. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Resolution 26-033
