MEMORANDUM <br />To:Saint Anthony Village City Council <br />From:Charlie Yunker, City Manager <br />Date:April 28, 2026 <br />Request: Resolution 26-034 – Approving A Lawful Gambling Premises Permit for Spring <br />Lake Park Dist. 16 Youth Hockey at Village Pub <br />BACKGROUND <br />Before you this evening is a resolution acknowledging and approving a lawful gambling premises permit <br />application for Spring Lake Park Dist. 16 Youth Hockey at Village Pub. <br />Spring Lake Park Dist. 16 Youth Hockey secured a lease with Village Pub for gambling that will begin May <br />1, 2026 and has applied to the State of Minnesota for a premises permit to conduct various gambling <br />activities at this location. State law requires approval by the local unit of government prior to issuance of <br />the permit by the Minnesota Gambling Control Board. <br />Staff has reviewed the application and found it to be complete and consistent with applicable local <br />requirements. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff is recommending approval of the lawful gambling premises permit for Spring Lake Park Dist. 16 <br />Youth Hockey at Village Pub. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Resolution 26-034
