CITY OF SAINT ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />RESOLUTION 26-045 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ENTER AN AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA TO ACCEPT A LOCAL CLIMATE ACTION <br />IMPLEMENTATION GRANT <br />WHEREAS, in 2023, the Minnesota Legislature set aside funds for local climate action grants <br />to help communities across Minnesota reduce greenhouse gas emissions and <br />prepare for climate change; and <br />WHEREAS, approximately $1.3 million in total funding was made available through Planning <br />and Implementation grant opportunities administered by the Minnesota Pollution <br />Control Agency (MPCA); and <br />WHEREAS,the City applied for the Local Climate Action Implementation Grant program and <br />was awarded $25,000 to be used by June 30, 2027; and <br />WHEREAS, these funds will be used to support installation costs of two Level 2 electric <br />vehicle chargers previously donated to the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Saint Anthony Village Climate Plan supports actions that promote electric <br />vehicle adoption in the community and help reduce vehicle-related greenhouse <br />gas emissions with the implementation of electric vehicle infrastructure. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Saint <br />Anthony Village, Minnesota, approves staff to accept the grant agreement between the City and <br />the State of Minnesota for the MPCA Local Climate Action Implementation Grant. <br />Approved this 23rd day of June, 2026. <br />_________________________________________ <br /> Wendy Webster, Mayor <br />ATTEST:___________________________ <br /> Nicole DeDeyn, City Clerk <br />Review for Administration: _________________________________________ <br /> Charlie Yunker, City Manager
