Required Review Process <br />The 2050 Comprehensive Plan is due to the Metropolitan Council by December 31, 2028. <br />The City is required to fulfill the following steps before submitting their plans to the Metropolitan <br />Council: <br />Hold a public hearing <br />Obtain approval from local governing body <br />Share with adjacent and affected jurisdictions for review (required 6 months for review) <br />The Metropolitan Council recommends that communities share their draft plans with adjacent and <br />affected jurisdictions by June 30, 2028. <br />Planning Assistance Grant <br />The Metropolitan Council offers planning assistance grants to provide support for communities <br />developing 2050 Comp Plans. The City of Saint Anthony Village is an eligible community and intends to <br />apply for the planning assistance grant. <br />REQUEST <br />The request for this discussion is for the Council to be prepared with any questions they may have for <br />the Metropolitan Council staff. <br />Staff is also seeking parameters from Council to understand the Council’s communication preferences <br />throughout the Comp Plan planning process.
