July 14th, 2026 St. Anthony Council Work Session - 7 <br />Assistant City Manager Morello noted that an additional license is not required; it is just a <br />different kind of license. <br />Councilmember Doolan noted that other ordinances require that the lot on which an ADU is <br />placed be a certain size. City Planner Grittman stated that St. Anthony's impervious surface <br />limitations should address these concerns. He also noted that many ADUs will likely be <br />basement additions with a walkout or built above a garage. <br />Councilmember Elnagdy asked if they would like a mechanism to encourage affordable or <br />income-restricted ADUs. She highlighted St. Anthony’s need for affordable housing. <br />Councilmember Doolan stated that there may be grants available through the Met Council. <br />Mayor Webster stated that Councilmember Elnagdy’s point should be addressed later in a larger <br />discussion. <br />City Planner Grittman noted that this will likely be a larger discussion as they work towards the <br />comprehensive plan. <br />Mayor Webster stated that there is consensus among the Council to accept the Planning <br />Commission’s recommended revision. <br />3.Future Work Session Dates, Times, and Agenda Items <br />A.Future Agenda Items <br />4.Adjournment <br />Mayor Webster adjourned the meeting.
