38 <br />(d) To work with other Communities to explore cooperative arrangements to develop <br />connecting routes in the form of bikeways, walking paths and corridors of green <br />space wherever possible. <br />(e) To investigate funding sources, including requests for increases in the City <br />budget, designated for parks and green spaces. <br />(f) To seek new areas for additional parks, natural areas, walking paths, bikeways <br />and green space corridors. <br />(g) "Co generate community involvement in the development of parks and their <br />elements. <br />(h) To review and recommend revisions to the operation and maintenance of City <br />Parks. <br />(ii) 'To periodically review, re-evaluate and update the comprehensive park plan to <br />reflect current and future park needs of the City. <br />306.07 Park Commission By -Laws_ <br />A schedule of meeting dates shall be established and changed or altered at any regularly <br />scheduled meeting. One regular meeting date is scheduled for the second Monday of each <br />month at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers, unless cancelled due to lack of a quorum on <br />issues to consider. A decision to cancel the regular monthly meeting shall be made by the <br />Chair and Public Works Director one wool( prior to the regular scheduled meeting. <br />2. Additional meetings may be held at any time upon the call of the Chair or by a majority of the <br />voting members of the Parks Commission or upon request of the City Council following at <br />least twenty-four hours notice to each member of the Commission and adhering to the <br />requirements of the Open Meeting Law. <br />3. The Commission, at its first regular meeting in January of each year, shall elect a Chair and <br />Vice Chair. <br />4. The duties and powers of the members of the Parks Commission shall be as follows: <br />a. Chair: <br />i. Preside at all meetings of the Parks Commission. <br />ii. Call, amend, or cancel meetings of the Parks Commission in accordance <br />with the By -Laws. <br />iii. Review agenda with Staff prior to the scheduled meeting. <br />b. Vice -Chair: <br />i. Dining the absence, disability, or disqualification of the Chair, the Vice - <br />Chair shall exercise or perform all the duties and be subject to all the <br />responsibilities of the Chair. <br />
