M <br />In addition, the City has flyer available in the City Hall information rack and handouts are givers <br />to new residents when they come in to pick up their recycling bins. This ,information is also easily <br />available to anyone else who comes in. The City also organizes and promotes an annual Spring Clean - <br />Up day. The Recycling Coordinator works with the local newspapers and community groups to <br />encourage and maintain recycling efforts throughout the City. <br />The City has been working with Ramsey County on sow ce reduction efforts citywide. Because <br />the City is in two counties, only those residents that two in Ramsey County are able to use the yard <br />waste sites. Residents that live in I lennepin County cannot: access the Ramsey County yard waste sites <br />need to take their yard waste to sites in I-Iennepin County. Both agencies are in the process of <br />negotiating and approving a joint powers agreement whereby Hennepin County residents of St. <br />Anthony are permitted to take their yard waste to Ramsey County sites. <br />7. What measurable goals do you have for source reduction and recycling activities in 2006? At <br />least ONE measurable goal most be listed. Please describe how you will measure progress <br />toward those goals and how activities will be evaluated. <br />The City of St. Anthony proposes to use SCORF funds to maintain and increase recycling <br />participation by the community thereby increasing tonnage collected. One measurable goal is to <br />increase publicity for recycling. The City will continue to add recycling infarnation to its <br />communication modes - the City's web site, City newsletter, City Hall electronic sign and cable <br />channel. Each year, the City strives to add more information for the residents The City prornows <br />information about County drop-off sites and it is hoped that these efforts will see increased <br />participation. <br />B. If any activities will be conducted by a cent roctor or, subcon'iractor, what provisions will be, made <br />I o monitor and audit those activities? <br />City Staff reviews the recycling volume and tonnage that is reported by the residential haulers <br />that work in St. Anthony. 'Phe City requires monthly repofti ng and reviews these reports. The <br />information provided by theses reports are also used to complete the semi-annual SCOFF, grant reports <br />submitted to the County <br />
