City Staff was reviewing the ordinances and discovered a few "housekeeping" issues. Here <br />is a brief overview of the changes: <br />Chapter 3 - Personnel <br />1) We changed personal leave to personal time off (PTO) as suggestion by <br />Tautges,Redpath, City Auditors. <br />2) Another change is section 300.19 fifth sentence, request from requested. <br />Chapter 6 - Fees <br />3) The fee for duplicate dog tags is listed in the city code in three different areas. All <br />three areas had a different amount listed. The staff is currently charging $5.00 for <br />a duplicate dog tag. We are changing two areas to be consistent in the code. <br />4) We are added the wording, per unit after the fee to help clarify for city staff. <br />5) Charges and Assessments we are changing the due date. In talking with both <br />Hennepin and Ramsey Counties, the city can take payments until November 15th <br />and we have until November 30th to certify amounts to taxes. By changing this <br />date we are giving the residents an extended opportunity to pay their assessment <br />directly to the city. Also, in these two sections we are correcting the spelling of <br />benefited. <br />Chapter 13 - Building, Housing, Construction and Signs <br />6) Swimming Pools section has basing instead of bathing. <br />F:\Council Meetings\ 2006\ 05092006\ memoordinance changes.doc <br />
