Automatic Water Meter Reading and I/I Update. <br />Mr. Todd Hubmer stated notification went out to residents on November 20, 2006, discussing the <br />program for water meter replacement and I/I inspection update. He stated the next step in the <br />process would be scheduling appointments to replace water meters and sump pumps and to <br />conduct the I/I inspection. Mr. Hubmer mentioned cards would be sent to residents to indicate <br />appointment date and time. He indicted contractors would work with residents if the times <br />indicated did not work. He asked residents to contact the contractor at the number indicated on <br />the cards. <br />19 Mr. Hubmer indicated the actual water meter replacement and I/I inspections are scheduled to <br />20 begin in January 2007 and expect completion by April 2007. _He mentioned M compliance <br />21 follow-up would continue through May 2006. He stressed the ordinance requires homes be <br />22 compliant by June 1, 2007 which is when UI non-conformance fees of $100 per month are <br />23 assessed. <br />24 <br />25 Mayor Faust stated he received his letter and it is very informative. He indicated the post cards <br />26 area good idea letting residents know when the contractor would be in the neighborhood. <br />27 <br />28 Mr. Hubmer added it is important to communicate with SL Circle as they have an entire call <br />29 center manned and available to answer questions. <br />30 <br />31 Mayor Faust stated Staff would handle all concerns or complaints of the contractor. <br />32 <br />33 .VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCILMEMBERS. <br />34 City Manager Mornson reported a special City Council meeting would be held on December 4, <br />35 2006 for the Truth in Taxation Hearing. <br />36 <br />37 City Manager Mornson stated City Council would interview Planning Commission applicants on <br />38 December 4, 2006 after the Truth in Taxation Hearing. He stated there are three openings and <br />39 two residents applied. He stated this would be held open until additional applications are <br />40 received. <br />41 <br />42 City Manager Mornson reported no park commission applications were received. <br />43 <br />44 City Manager Mornson reported the first regular City Council meeting in December would be <br />45 held on Monday, December 11, 2006 at the request of the Ramsey County so as not to conflict <br />46 with its Truth in Taxation Hearing. <br />16 <br />
