He mentioned the LaSalle Bank is open to funding <br />the. entire project. <br />Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Horst, to adopt Resolution 06- <br />096, a Resolution Authorizing the Sale and Issuance of Variable Rate Demand Multifamily <br />Housing Revenue Bonds (The Landings at Silver Lake Village Project), Series 2007, <br />Establishing the Security Therefore and Authorizing the Execution of Documents. <br />Motion carried unanimous L. <br />REPORTS FROM; <br />City Manager Mornson reported there would not be a Planning Commission meeting on <br />December 19, 2006; therefore, there is no need for a Council Meeting on December 26, 2006. <br />City Manager Mornson reported the School Board requested the use of City Council chambers <br />for their meetings beginning February 6, 2007. <br />City Manager Mornson reported there would. be a joint meeting with the School Board on the <br />concern over safety for students crossing 33rd Avenue. He g PP explained students are being dropped <br />P <br />of on the south side and running across to the north side of 33rd Avenue. He mentioned this is <br />not an easy fix but hopefully it could work it out. <br />City Manager Mornson mentioned the. electroxuc sign is out for annual maintenance. <br />27 City Manager Mornson recognized Staff members- for volunteer work they participated in over <br />28 the past year. He mentioned Jay Hartman led a bell ringing for the Salvation Army at Cub <br />29 Foods; the Fire Department held a bell -ringing day with over 24 firefighters volunteering; and <br />30 Police Chief Ohl is working with the commissioner of the' basketball league for the sports <br />31 boosters on a Cops versus Kids basketball competition. <br />32 <br />33 Councilmember Thuesen reminded everyone that the St. Anthony Civic Orchestra would hold a <br />34 free Holiday Pops Concert on December 15, 2006, 7:30 p.m., at the Community Center. <br />35 . <br />36 Councilmember Horst stated he attended the Community Services Board Meetin on December <br />g <br />37 7, 2006. He mentioned they are very grateful to the City for coming to ,an agreement on the <br />38. replacement of the grandfather levy. Councilmember Horst wished ever one a wonder Merry <br />. Y Y <br />3 9 Christmas and a Happy New Year. <br />40 <br />41 Mayor Faust stated he and Council members Gray, Stille,Thuesen and Ci Manager Mornson <br />Y City g <br />42 attended a meeting with the City of Minneapolis on November 29, 2006 with other surrounding <br />43 cities. He reported the City of Minneapolis took the lead by inviting surrounding cities for a <br />44 dialog. He indicated it was good to meet some of the other mayors and council members and <br />45 believes as a group they could move forward and work well at the Legislative level in 2007. <br />46 <br />C <br />
