City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />January 9, 2007 <br />Page 10 <br />I City Manager Morrison reported Friday, January 12, 2007 members of the St. Anthony Police <br />2 Department, including the Chief and the Captain, will be playing basketball with various fifth <br />3 through eighth grade teams at the High School beginning at 6:30 p.m. <br />4 <br />5 City Manager Morrison reported On March 12, 2007 a meeting will be held with the Park <br />6 Commission and on March 20, 2007 a meeting will be held with the Planning Commission on <br />7 goals and projects. <br />9 City Manager Morrison reported February 12, 2007 is Liquor Legislative Day in St. Paul. He <br />10 stated he and Mike Larson would attend. <br />11 <br />12 City Manager Morrison reported that on March 29, 2007 the League of Minnesota Cities <br />13 Legislative Forum would be. He stated he and the Mayor would attend. He asked if anyone from <br />14 the Council would like to attend, to please let him know. <br />1.5 <br />16 City Manager Morrison reported on March 31, 2007 a Former Elected Officials Meeting would <br />17 be held. Ile stated that there are seven different meetings being held in March. <br />18 <br />19 City Manager Morrison reported The Pay Equity Report is due January 31, 2007. He explained <br />20 this is a snapshot of City payroll as of December 31, 2006 and would be on the January 23, 2007 <br />21 Consent Agenda. <br />22 <br />23 City Manager Morrison reported on the Northeast Diagonal Trail update indicting the bid <br />24 opening would be February 15, 2007 with construction from spring to fall 2007. <br />25 <br />26 City Manager Morrison announced he was asked to be a Junior Achievement Volunteer for the <br />27 second grade at Wilshire Park Elementary from February to March 2007. <br />28 <br />29 City Manager Morrison reported that on April 3, 2007 (5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.) the Hennepin <br />30 County Open Book Meeting would be held. He explained this is when residents of Hennepin <br />31 County portion of St. Anthony have an opportunity to talk to the County Assessor on their <br />32 property taxes. <br />33 <br />34 Councilmember Horst reported meeting on January 7, 2007 with the Sister City Association. He <br />35 stated the topic of discussion was the visit by 15 students from the School of Moisio in Salo, <br />36 Finland. Ile indicated the time period for this visit is somewhere between May 14 — 22, 2007. <br />37 He stated it might be a good time to dedicate the sculpture while the students are here. They <br />38 also did a brief brainstorming session on ways to improve and work with Sister City. <br />39 <br />40 Mayor Faust agreed it is a good idea to have the sculpture dedication at that time. <br />41 <br />42 Councilmember Thuesen reported that on January 22, 2007 the St. Anthony Library would host <br />43 Mr. Bill Saurers who will present his dog sledding adventures to Spitzbergen Island. He also <br />44 mentioned the Library would hold a mini book sale on Monday, February 5, 2007 from noon to <br />45 7:00 p.m. <br />46 <br />ME <br />
