Honorable Mayor, City Council, and City Staff <br />May 1, 2007 <br />Page 2 <br />1. A meeting with Hennepin County staff to discuss current project cost estimates and cost <br />splits on May 8, <br />2. Presentation by Hennepin County to St. Anthony City Council in June. <br />3. Staff is currently working closely with Hennepin County and the utility companies to <br />determine the cost and schedules for relocation of utilities from overhead to underground <br />along Silver Lake Road for this summer. <br />III. 2007 Street Reconstruction Project <br />Construction on this year's project began on April 23, with the removal of 39°i Avenue. In the <br />upcoming weeks, we anticipate to see a lot of activity in regard to the 2007 street <br />reconstruction project. This activity is anticipated to include: <br />12 <br />1. Completion of the sanitary sewer rehabilitation in the alleys on the southern part <br />of the project. <br />2. Installation of the storm sewer on the alleys north and south of Pahl, and the <br />alleys south of 27t" Avenue. <br />3. Pipe bursting in the sanitary sewer on Chandler Drive. <br />4. Directional boring of the sanitary sewer force main from the Foss Road Lift <br />Station to the City of Roseville. <br />The project team meets every Monday at 10:00 a.m. to discuss project issues, scheduling <br />conflicts, and to coordinate activities to ensure that the residents are informed with our <br />newsletters that are being sent out at a regular interval. <br />IV. Water Treatment Plant Improvements <br />The contractor has completed the replacement of the filter media in both filters of the treatment <br />plant.
