I -Ie commented that Ramsey County would send out a schedule. <br />B. Resolution 07 -047 - <br />,Approving a Proposal and Bid from American Leal Publishing & <br />I eayue of Minnesota Cities to Re -Codify the City Code <br />City Manager Morrison reported this resolution authorizes staff to enter into a contract with the <br />League of Minnesota Cities to re -codify the City Code. He commented this had not been done <br />since 1993. He reported the contract would include: a review of the City's current code of <br />ordinances and all ordinances and resolutions passed since the last codification in 1993; <br />organizing all information based on titles, chapters, sections, and according to subject matter; <br />updating the code to reflect current statutory and case law requirements, deleting improper or <br />unlawful provisions; simplifying language where appropriate and convert it to gender -neutral <br />language where necessary; preparing a table of contents with sectional analysis and an index; <br />submitting a draft of the updated code within six months of execution of the contract and <br />provision of documents; and, 20 printed copies within three months of the City's authorization. <br />City Manager Mornson reported this would take about one year to complete, as the City Attorney <br />would need to review the document also. <br />Councilmember Thuesen asked about the Planning Commission's questions about changing the <br />font size, exceeding 500 pages, and the additional cost. <br />City manager Morrison replied he is not sure the completed document would exceed 500 pages. <br />He commented the changes are made or amended at no additional cost until to 2011. <br />Councilmember Thuesen questioned whether there was any advantage to having American Legal <br />Publishing hosting this on it's website. <br />City Manager Morrison replied it is on their website as a promotional tool; however, there would <br />be a link from the St. Anthony website to the document. <br />Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember T huesen, to approve Resolution <br />07-047, a Resolution Approving a Proposal and Bid from American Legal Publishing & League <br />of Minnesota Cities to Re -Codify the City Code. <br />Motion carried unanimously 4/0 <br />Mayor Faust deviated from the agenda to recognize Boy Scout Troop 132 in the audience who <br />are attending the City Council meeting to earn a merit badge. <br />VII. 1;1E PORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />City Manager Morrison updated Council on the meeting with Three Rivers Park on the new <br />Silverwood Park. He stated the park was not scheduled to open until 2008; however, it was <br />announced it would be open to the public June 16, 2007 for access to trails and passive use. <br />
