IIe stated other activities include the recycling reports completed for Hennepin and Ramsey Counties, the single sort recycling program, and an energy audit of all City buildings. He reporter several meetings were held with the Silver Lake Ilomeowners Association, Three Rivers Park, Ramsey County, and Rice Creek Watershed District on improvement opportunities. Councilmember Stille asked when the energy audit would be completed. 9 City Manager Morrison replied most likely in the fall. FIe stated the audit would include all City 10 buildings, a risk assessment for insurance purposes, and environmental improvements in all City 11 Parks and property. 12 13 Goal 5: Key Financial Strategies. City Manager Mornson stated this goal is now considered the 14 Financial Management Plan. He explained that it originally provided the framework for the 15 funding of the Public Works building and the Fire Station, the redevelopment of Silver Lake 16 Village, and two municipal liquor stores. He stated a meeting is anticipated with Ehlers & 17 Associates to identify capital needs, potential tax levies, and debt levels. 18 19 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. 20 21 City Manager Morrison stated the July 10, 2007 Council meeting could be canceled based on 22 light agenda. 23 24 City Manager Morrison reported Staff received a letter from the Police Chief from New Brighton 25 where three St. Anthony officers assisted in the arrest of a felony theft suspect at a New Brighton 26 business. 27 28 City Manager Morrison mentioned the crime alert on arson in Lauderdale. 29 30 City Manager Morrison complemented City Engineer Todd 1lubmer & Public Works Direcotr 31 Jay FTartman on the worked they have done on the improvement projects. He stated they 32 represent the City well and have negotiated great contracts. 33 34 City Manager Morrison reported a new full time manager and clerk for the Municipal Liquor 35 Stores. He stated both stores are 100 compliant on tobacco and liquor checks. He thanked Mike 36 Larson on the monthly statements. He indicated Mr. Larson has taken the liquor stores further 37 than ever anticipated. 38 39 Councilmember Thuesen stated the liquor department received the best in selection for wine and 40 beer several years in a row. 41 42 Councilmember Stille commented he was privileged to represent the City on a tour of Salo, 43 Finland. He stated that he and Public Works Director Jay Hartman visited the Salo City facilities 44 and met with the representatives from one of Salo's sister cities in Russia.
