This resolution allows the City of St. Anthony to enter into a lease agreement with <br />Sensus, Inc. to place a receiver antenna on St. Anthony's facilities to read the City's water meters. <br />As you may recall, the City of St. Anthony did not anticipate that an antenna located within St. Anthony <br />would be necessary to complete the water meter installation project. The need for this additional antenna is a <br />result of errors in calculations completed by Sensus, Inc. on the anticipated coverage zone of the receiving <br />antenna located at the Pillsbury Tower downtown. Sensus, Inc. is incurring significant additional expenses <br />in the placement of this receiving antenna on City facilities. The purpose of the new antenna is to read solely <br />the meters within the City of St. Anthony. The attached lease agreement would require Sensus to <br />compensate the City of St. Anthony if this antenna is going to be used for commercial purposes receiving <br />reads from outside the limits of St. Anthony for which they are collecting fees and profits. <br />The cost to maintain the antenna is the sole responsibility of Sensus, Inc. <br />I am available to answer any questions in regard to the placement of the antenna or the water meter <br />replacement program at your August 14 Council meeting, or feel free to call me at 763-287-7182. <br />Sincerely, <br />WSB & Associates, Inc. <br />Todd E.
