REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />City Manager Morrison reported he was part of a Civic Engagement Committee made up of <br />members of the Minnesota City Managers Association in which 160 cities discussed various <br />activities that each are involved in. He reported on the activities that St. Anthony are involved <br />in. He stated the outcome would be about six meetings with a report to the City Managers, the <br />League of Minnesota Cities, and the Citizens League. He informed Council that many of the <br />activities reported by St. Anthony would be included in this report. <br />10 City Manager Morrison reported he would not attend for next Council meeting; however, <br />11 Assistant City Administrator Moore -Sykes would present the single sort recycling statistics for <br />12 Council's consideration to extend or remove the sunset. <br />13 <br />14 City Manager Morrison reported that Police Officer Seth Wilson tendered his resignation to take <br />15 a position with the St. Paul Police Department. <br />16 <br />17 City Manager Morrison stated Ile hoped that 27°i Avenue would be paved on September 27, <br />18 2007, which would complete paving for all the areas. <br />19 <br />20 City Manager Mornson reported the Road Reconstruction'Taskforce would meet in October and <br />21 present to the City Council on November 13, 2007. <br />22 <br />23 City Manager Morrison reported a tentative agreement with Public Works Department Union. <br />24 He stated this leaves only the Fire Union. <br />25 <br />26 Councilmember Gray -- No report. <br />27 <br />28 Councilmember Horst — No report. <br />29 <br />30 Councilmember Stille — No report. <br />31 <br />32 Councilmember Thuesen reported, relative to civic engagement, the Road Reconstruction <br />33 Taskforce did not meet because some of the members would like to see the financial impact <br />34 before the next meeting. He stated the next meeting would be October 15, 2007. <br />35 <br />36 Councilmember Thuesen reported attending the Vital Aging meeting on September 18, 2007. <br />37 <br />38 Mayor Faust reported attending the League of Minnesota Cities Fiscal futures Policy Committee <br />39 Meeting on September 14, 2007, where they adopted 24 policies. He reported these policies <br />40 would come before the Council on November 29, 2007 after the League Board reviews them. <br />41 He stated the policies would be presented at the regional meeting in Bloomington on November <br />42 29, 2007 and encouraged anyone who could attend, do so. <br />43 <br />44 Mayor Faust reported the Middle Mississippi Water Management Organization spoke at the <br />45 Chamber Luncheon on September 18, 2007. He stated they spoke on how the economics of <br />
