City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />January 8, 2008 <br />Page 5 <br />Councilmember Gray reported that on January 2, 2008 he attended the Chamber of Commerce <br />Directors Meeting. He encouraged everyone to start thinking about the Business of the Year and <br />the Villager of the Year. He stated the nominations forms would be available shortly. <br />Councilmcmber Gray encouraged residents to seriously consider attending the Citizen's Police <br />Academy. <br />9 Mayor Faust reported that on December 18, 2007, the Chamber of Commerce held its Annual <br />10 Christmas Tree Lighting contest. He announced the winners of the contest were Mr. John <br />11 Kaharski for the individual award and Autumn Woods won the community award. <br />12 <br />13 Mayor Faust reported the Chamber Board Meeting had a successful Adopt a Family Program <br />14 whereby about $700.00 was collected for a acedy family in St. Anthony. <br />15 <br />16 Mayor Faust reported attending the MMWMO Board Meeting and stated the first four <br />17 applications for the process of building a cutting edge demonstration and headquarters building. <br />18 <br />19 Mayor Faust thanked the residents of St. Anthony for re-electing him as Mayor and putting their <br />20 trust in him. He stated he would give it his utmost. <br />21 <br />22 VIIl. COMMUNITY FORUM <br />23 <br />24 Mayor Faust invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council on items that <br />25 are not on the regular agenda. <br />26 <br />27 There being none, Mayor Faust continued with the agenda. <br />28 <br />29 IX. INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />30 <br />31 Mayor Faust pointed out the St. Anthony Notes newsletter was mailed out. He highlighted an <br />32 article written by a St. Anthony police officer titled Reflections of a Responder to the 35W <br />33 Bridge Collapse, <br />34 <br />35 Mayor Faust mentioned that a burglary occurred in St. Anthony on January 8, 2008 and the <br />36 burglars were apprehended. <br />37 <br />38 X.
