56 (b) Address numbers shall be Arabic numerals or alphabet letters. Numbers shall be a minimum of 4 inches (102 mm) high with a minimum stroke width of 0.5 inch (12.7 nam). (c) These numerals must be at a height and position so that the numerals can be easily read by a person of normal vision while seated in an emergency vehicle located in the street. (d) The placement and size of the numerals or sign must be approved by the Fire Marshal. e. MSFC 508.5.5 is amended to read: 508.5.5 Clear space around hydrants. A 10 foot (914 mrn) clear space shall be maintained around the circumference of fare hydrants and a 3 foot vertical clearance above the highest portion of the hydrants shall be maintained except as otherwise required or approved. f. MSFC Section 912.3 is amended to read: 912.3 Access. Immediate access to fire department connections shall be maintained at all times and without obstruction by fences, bushes, trees, walls or any other object for a minimum of 10 feet (914 nun) in all directions except as otherwise required or approved. g. MSFC Appendixes adopted: The following appendixes to the MSFC are hereby incorporated as may be amended as part of the Fire Prevention Code of the City of St. Anthony: (a) Appendix B — Fire -Flow Requirements for Buildings (b) Appendix C — Fire Hydrant Locations and Distribution (c) Appendix D — Fire Apparatus Access Roads (d) Appendix H— Fires or Barbecues on Balconies or Patios The exception to Section 1.2 is deleted. Subd. 2. Copies on File. Copies of the N4UFC MSFC are on file with the Bureau and are available for public inspection. Subd. 3 Penalties. A person who violates the provisions of the Minnesota State Fire Code or this ordinance after being given written notice shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Each day's violation after notice thereof shall constitute a separate offense.
