City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />February 12, 2008 <br />Page 5 <br />City Manager Mornson reported the Joint meeting with the Planning Commission is incorrect. <br />City Manager Mornson reported are no agenda items for the February 26, 2008 meeting; <br />therefore, Council must decide whether or not to meet. <br />City Manager Mornson read a letter of appreciation from Mr. Jim Clack, Minneapolis Fire Chief, <br />to the City of St. Anthony for its rapid response to the 1-35W bridge collapse. <br />10 Councilmember Roth reported the Community Service Council meeting was cancelled. <br />11 <br />12 Councilmember Stille reported the Quarterly Family Services Collaborative met on February 7, <br />13 2008. He explained that this committee oversees a pool of money provided by Hennepin County <br />14 to serve at risk youth. He stated Mr. Roger Bruns oversees groups of kids on Tuesdays and <br />15 Thursdays at the Lutheran Church. He stated he is looking for volunteers to help. <br />16 <br />17 Councilmember Stille reported that Ms. Bonnie Brever would speak at the Chamber o£ <br />18 Commerce meeting to give an update on the Family Services Collaborative February 19, 2008. <br />19 <br />20 Councilmember Stille reported the Sister City met on Feb 10, 2008. He reported there might be <br />21 visitors from Salo, Finland in the near future. <br />22 <br />23 Mayor Faust reported he attended an open house where Foster & Brever Law Firm took over a <br />24 building on St. Anthony Lane on January 24, 2008. <br />25 <br />26 Mayor Faust reported that City Council met with the School District on January 29, 2008. <br />27 <br />28 Mayor Faust reported Chamber of Commerce Board meeting on February 7, 2008. <br />29 <br />30 Mayor Faust reported the City received the 2008 policies fiom the League of Minnesota Cities <br />31 and their position on various issues. <br />32 <br />33 VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM <br />34 <br />35 Mayor Faust invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council on items that <br />36 are not on the regular agenda. <br />37 <br />38 There being none, Mayor Faust continued with the agenda. <br />39 <br />40 <br />41 IX. INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />42 <br />43 Mayor Faust stated the February 26, 2008 City Council Meeting would be cancelled. <br />44 <br />45 City Manager Mornson reported the Cable Commission would hold a joint meeting on March 6, <br />46 2008. He stated a consultant would speak on telecommunication issues in the ten -city area. <br />5 <br />
