Resolution 08-017; Approving a Request for Comprehensive Road and Transit Funding, <br />Mayor Faust explained that MN/DOT had requested all cities pass a similar resolution that would <br />enable it to acquire the funds required to provide continued comprehensive road and transit <br />infrastructure. <br />Motion by Councilmember Stille, seconded by Councilmember Thuesen, to approve Resolution <br />08-16, a Resolution Approving a Request for Comprehensive Road and Transit Funding. <br />Motion carried unanimously (4/0) <br />VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL, MEMBERS <br />City Manager Mornson reported on the Bond Schedule for Silver Lake Road. He provided a <br />handout outlining the dates and steps for the issuing process. He stated the inspectors for the <br />project would not be WSB inspectors. <br />City Manager Mornson presented the Budget Calendar for the 2009 Budget. <br />City Manager Mornson reported the Hennepin County Open Book Meeting would be held on <br />April 14, 2008 from 5:00 — 6:30 p.m. He explained this is where residents of Hennepin County <br />can meet with and ask questions about their assessments. <br />City Manager Mornson reported the Liquor Store's Sixtieth Year Kick -Off would occur on <br />February 21, 2008. <br />City Manager Mornson reported the Sign Ordinance, Fire Code Ordinance, and Housing Code <br />Ordinance would be submitted to the Planning Commission for review and passed on to City <br />Council in March. <br />City Manager Mornson reported the Comprehensive Water Management Plan is due in October <br />2008. He explained the Comprehensive Plan must include this plan also. <br />City Manager Mornson reported GIS Training began February 11, 2008. He stated the system is <br />very user friendly and the potential for uses is unlimited. <br />City Manager Mornson reported the Rice Creek Citizen Advising Committee is looking for a <br />volunteer to serve on the board. <br />City Manager Mornson reported the Historical Society Open House would be held on April 5, <br />2008 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. <br />City Manager Mornson reported the agreements with the School District have been evaluated <br />and found there is no agreement for snow plowing or use of the ball field. He stated the School <br />District would consider these. <br />
