(d) Existing sprinkler systems with 100 or more sprinkler heads. <br />(e) Existing sprinkler systems when upgraded or expanded by five sprinkler heads or <br />more and the number of sprinkler heads following upgrade or expansion is 20 or <br />more. <br />Subd. 2. Distinctive Signals. General 'fire alarms, bells monitoring, water flow, trouble and <br />supervisory signals shall be distinctively different and shall be automatically transmitted to an <br />approved central station in accordance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) <br />Standard 72. <br />Subd. 3. Certi ccate Required. An Underwriter's Laboratory (UL) 72 "Central Station Fire <br />Alarm System Certificate" shall be required for all electrically monitored fire alarm and <br />sprinkler systems and communicators. <br />Subd. 4. Public Utilities Accepted. This section does not apply to underground key or hub valves <br />in the roadway boxes provided by the City. <br />1325.16 0sen Burning Open burning prohibited. Except as otherwise permitted by this section, <br />all open burning is prohibited in the City of St. Anthony. <br />Subd. 1. Definitions. For the purpose of this section, the following definitions shall apply <br />(a) "Open Fire " or "Open burning" means afire in matter, whether concentrated or <br />dispersed which is not contained within a fully enclosed firebox, structure, or vehicle, <br />frons which the products of combustion are emitted directly to the open atmosphere <br />without passing through a stack, duct or chimney. <br />(b) "Person" includes any natural person acting either personally or in any <br />representative capacity, a corporation, a firm, a co partnership, or an association of <br />any nature or kind. <br />(c) "Starter Fuels" means dry, untreated, unpainted wood or charcoal fire starter. <br />Paraffin candles and alcohols are permitted as starter fuels and as aids to ignition <br />only. Propane gas torches or other clean gas burning devices causing minimal <br />pollution must be used to start an open fire. <br />(d) "Wood" means dry, clean fuel such as twigs, branches, limbs, presto logs ", charcoal, <br />cord wood or untreated dimensional lumber. Wood does not include wood that is <br />green, leaves or needles, rotten, wet, oil soaked or treated with pain, glue or <br />preservatives. Clean pallets maybe used for recreation fires when cut into three foot <br />smaller lengths. <br />(e) "Recreational Fire " means afire set for cooking, warming or ceremonial purposes <br />which is not more than three feet in diameter by three feet high and has had the <br />ground five feet from the base of the fire cleared of all combustible materials. <br />(fl "Burning Permit" is a permit issued by the Fire Chief or his designee authorizing <br />fires exempted from the general provisions hereof and setting the conditions <br />therefore. <br />
