57
Page Two
Mike Mornson
December 15, 2008
time of the agreement back in 1999. As part of our site safety improvements effort, we are
asking that the City of St. Anthony permit the School District to expand, improve and modify the
existing service road to accommodate the planned dedicated bus drop-off loop ori city property
as depicted in the attached schematic drawing.
Being mindful of any on-going City projects, we have consulted with City representatives to
identify and closely coordinate the 'District's proposed site modifications with any upcoming
improvements that the City may be planning in this vicinity. In this regard, we understand that
the City is contemplating replacement of select underground utilities and main water distribution
piping sometime within the next few years in this area. In an effort to optimize use of both
District and City expenditures, and if the city determines that it makes sense to coordinate
completion of this work in conjunction with the planned bus loop during the summer of 2009,
the District will dedicate the time and resources necessary to work hand-in-hand with City
representatives and project engineers to coordinate the improvement efforts.
If you should have any questions regarding this request, please contact me at your earliest
convenience. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and consideration, and we look
forward to hearing from you regarding the proposed site safety improvements.
Sincerely,
Dr. Rod Thompson
Superintendent of Schools
RT/sb
