Richard Fursman, Global Synergy Grop,presentin. <br />6 <br />7 Mr. Richard Fursman, Global Synergy Group, provided a PowerPoint presentation on the <br />8 January 25, 2009 St. Anthony Village Strategic Planning & Focus Session. The presentation <br />9 included an overview of the following agenda of the Session: <br />10 1. Introductions & Approve Agenda <br />11 2. Review Session Expectations <br />12 3. Rules for Session <br />13 4. hi -basket Development <br />14 5. Updates <br />15 6. Review 2008 Council Goals <br />16 7. Infrastructure Update <br />17 8. Environmental Scan — Group <br />1.8 9. Identify changes and trends impacting the City and its strategies (state budget, law <br />19 changes, economy, etc.) <br />20 10. Reprioritize 2008 Goals <br />21 11. Organization Structure <br />22 12. In -basket Sort <br />23 13. Role/Better use of Commissions/Committees <br />24 14. Wrap-up & video <br />25 <br />26 The five goals are as follows: <br />27 <br />28 Environmental Stewardship and Rehabilitation <br />29 Improve and Maintain Infrastructure <br />30 Technology Advances <br />31 Improve and Maintain Housing <br />32 Senior Transitions. <br />33 <br />34 Mr. Fursman commended the City Council on how seriously this is taken and how it pays <br />35 dividends to the community. <br />36 <br />37 Mayor Faust thanked the Council, staff, and Mr. Fursman for the work put into the Strategic <br />38 Planning & Focus Session. He stated it is a good opportunity to distill the information received <br />39 from the residents into hard concrete direction to move the City over the next few years. The <br />40 goals do not change; they are general areas. The City will never be finished with the goals of <br />41 environmental stewardship and technology. This retreat goal setting session provides the <br />42 opportunity to put plans in action and move forward. <br />43 <br />44 Councilmember Stille verified with Mr. Morrison that the additions to the goals that have been <br />45 discussed are not substantive and can be added after the goals have been adopted. <br />Mo <br />9 <br />
