RECOGNITION THEIOOTHANNIVERSARY <br />OFBERGER TRANSFER &STORAGEINC. <br />AND SO YEARS OFPRESENCEINST. ANTHONY, MINNESOTA <br />WHEREAS, in,1910, the Berger Transfer & Storage was founded by Carl Berger; and <br />WHEREAS, this company started moving household goods of new arrivals to Minnesota <br />with only a horse and cart; and <br />WHEREAS, this company continued to prosper and grow here and to the surrounding <br />states; and <br />WHEREAS, by this expansion in 1960 it built, relocated, and opened a 21,000 foot office <br />space, storage and maintenance building in St. Anthony Village; and <br />WHEREAS, in the convening years became a valuable business and community partner <br />with the civic, educational and governmental entities; and <br />WHEREAS, the cooperative spirit exhibited by Berger Transfer throughout the years to <br />actively contributing to the overall well being of the community; and <br />WHEREAS, it's continually enthusiastic involvement in the Schools, VillageFest, the St. <br />Anthony Chamber of Commerce, the St. Anthony Kiwanis's and the <br />Minnesota Gophers. <br />NOW, THEREFOREBE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of St. Anthony that <br />we recognize the 100ti, Anniversary of the Berger Transfer Company and its commitment to <br />St. Anthony, Minnesota and proclaim May 13, 2010 as -Berger Transfer.Day. <br />Adopted this 11th day of May, 2010. <br />Mayor <br />1 <br />
