Staff received approximately four phone calls from residents clarifying what the amendment entailed but had no 12 opinion regarding the proposed sign changes. Mr. Ron Hanson did call Staff and receive copies of the submitted application and attachments. Mr. Hanson also appeared before the Planning Commission during the public hearing to comment on the proposed amendment. The Planning Commission by consensus agreed to vote on the PUD amendment request in two motions: The first motion was for the recommendation to approve the Sign Plan amendment request for the modification of the two ground signs located at 3900 Silver Lake Road and the addition of a ground sign at 3800 Silver Lake Road. This motion to recommend approval was approved by a majority vote. The second motion was for the recommendation to approve the Sign Plan amendment request for the addition of a directional ground sign at the NW corner of 3810 Silver Lake, adjacent to 39`1i Avenue. The Planning Commission voted unanimously to approve the installation of this new sign with a configuration that would not impede a vehicle driver's ability to see this sign.
